My exhaust sounded squeaky so i had a look and the fixing had snapped. So i got the jack out and raised it up at the back so i could fix it. Then the mrs rings saying she wants to see me because she is goiing to London tomorrow. So i sort it out as fast as i can get changed and have my tea.Go back to the garage and get in the car, start to set off but it felt like my hand brake was on (but it does stick sometimes) so a rev a little more and hear a thud.
I had forgotten to take the jack down, luckily my car was ok.:mental:

Use the scissor jack to jack the front up, put an axle stand under, jack back down, jack the back up, axle stand under. Sorted.
I've never used a torque wrench to tighten my wheel nuts, and I dont think many people do, but, if you've got one, and you know the correct torque settings, then it shouldnt hurt to do so.
