Will i give up?

Alright, i'm attempting to give up smoking.

I started when i was quite young, say 9 years ago. Gave up for 6 months at 15yrs old, then smoked every day till 22, that's 7 yrs! Then decided i didn't want to any more, just stopped like that. Then 9 months later got a bit stressed out, smoked a few, then bought some, then stopped for a few weeks, then started again, and now here i am a few months later. Kept saying for the past few days i'd stop but kept going, just didn't buy any more. So alas last night i ran out, had last cig at 10pm'ish.
Would quite like one right now but must be good!

Who reckons i'll give up this time?

Giving up is pretty easy, starting again though is considerably easier!

I quite like smoking, just chew chewing gum all the time and breath is ok, smoke outside so clothes barely smell. But due to health problems i really can't :(

Got plenty of willpower, thing is i don't actually want to stop, just need to.

I know the first few days are the hard bit, not really struggling, need something to do though, sitting about on the net doing not much can't be the best way of distracting oneself lol
And not even any chocolate to binge eat on haha damn.

when i come home, i just stop like that, until i go on the lash, i may have one or two ;)

only you can decide what you want to do mate.

you could try hypnotism, my mate had it done and never smoked for 4 years. started again, but for other reasons lol

I honestly thought i'd never start again, loads of my mates smoke and it was hard being around them. I blame women :(

Once i stop again now i'll be fine after a few days, but then there's bound to be something that sends me back to it, that's the test.

you should go to the doctors and ask them to set you up with the NHS quitting scheme. i did that in the summer and they gave me free prescriptions to all sorts of quitting stuff like patches, gum, inhalers. and you go back every few weeks to speak to her so she can check your progress. ive tried quitting loads of times before that but failed every time but this time it felt like i was doing it for somebody and i was getting help! they gave me a quit date in august and since that day i haven't smoked a single fag and have stopped using patches n all them ages ago. i don't see how you can start smoking again after 9 months though. at the moment i hate cigarettes and feel sick when people come near me with one!

Dont do it! when my misses left me i started smoking again and i had just passed the 1 and half year point, its a poor excuse trust me on that one, im still smoking now :n: Just get pissed ... best way buddy

Just stick to it, after 4-6weeks when i quit i started to dispise smokers, few months later passive smoking made me feel sick lol, all about the will power, if you have a good reason to stop then there is no reason you cant keep up the good work
