"Air Force Chief Master Sgt. John Gebhardt, of the 332nd Expiditionary Medical Group at Balad, Iraq, cradles a young girl as they both sleep in the hospital. The girl?s entire family was executed by insurgents; the killers shot her in the head as well. The girl received treatment at the U.S. military hospital in Balad, but cries and moans often. According to nurses at the facility, Gebhardt is the only one who can calm down the girl, so he has spent the last several nights holding her while they both sleep in a chair."

"Tell all I will see them on the other side, "It wasn't bad, I just fell asleep".

Its a note one of the minors who got trapped earlier this year wrote as he was dying. They used charcoal to do it. Its crazy because by his scribble you can see he 1. couldn't see anything 2. was obviously weak from lack of food and air.

2. Hes African American. A challenge in itself to just compete back then.
3. Its USA Japan and Germany. The 3 countries that would enter WWII and the podium shows USA on top. It foreshadows what would happen in a few years.

Marine Sergeant Ty Ziegel already had his life planned out, he would marry his girlfriend Renee Kline upon returning from his second tour of duty in Iraq.
But one fateful day a suicide bomber hit his truck, tearing apart his body and making him among the 20,000 soldiers that have been wounded in Iraq. He was blind in one eye, had a shattered skull, and most of his skin was burned off. Renee lived with Ty at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas for a year and a half, sharing Ty's every hope and fear. Their relationship became stronger than ever, and Ty and Renee moved back to their hometown in Illinois in July 2006, and got married in shortly thereafter.

these little things are nothing compared. i still have my life ahead of me and its really what we make it.

i have a few poverty bands and i totally stand by it.

makes you put your whole life into perspective and to how easy i actually have it compared to some of the people in the 3rd world countries or warn stricken countries.

will deffo not take what ive got for granted as i strongly beleive people should help each other when i need.

i owe you rep as well mitchell for that post but need to spread the love.
