Same as a VTS in performance but look better :P also with the added extra of half leather on some (usually later ones)

They are group 13 in insurance, where as a VTS is group 14.

Best place to look is in the autotrader, pistonheads, 106owners.co.uk, ebay possibly just the usual places to be honest.

Urm yeh i imagine it to be expensive for a 17 year old

yes it would be astronomical...

Yeah i expect it would be a pretty penny mate, i got a VTR at the age of 18 and then got my GTi at the age of 21. Have a look on pistonheads there are usually some nice examples on there if you are really thinking about getting one.

I would check insurance first though as it aint going to be cheap if you can find someone who would insure you!

It will cost a bomb for insurance at 17 for a 106 GTI, if you can get insured that is.
Most companies will probably take a look at your age and laugh and not even give you a quite tbh.
