knocking noises

hey im jake i was just wondering if any1 can help ive had noises cumin from under the car and ive been told i need a new drive shaft and a new engine mount r thesse expensive and r they easy to do yourself or shall i let the garage do it

Hello Jake. If the noise is what you say drive shafts are about £40 to £80 quid for a reconditioned one not to sure about the mounts and drive shaft are'nt that hard to replace if you'r mechanicaly minded.

no looking about £100 for the driveshafts and £20 for the mount.

not too bad cpould be worse is ur exhaust loose that could cause banging also

i had a tapping noise from mine, it was like a metal rolling noise wen i went round corners. all i needed was a new exhaust rubber, cost about £2 lol.
easy peasy!!
if it is the engine, unlucky mate lol!!

thanks for the help ive decided im going to book it in at a garage 2moz let them have a look
