The start

was for sale about october time on her, pageybaby was the user selling it he said it had problems but didnt know what, after agreeing i would by it for £700 (minus the £5.57 we found), i got a PM from japman saying it was his old saxo, which had been one of my favourites at the time.

me and my mate went and saw the saxo not knowing what was wrong with it, when we got there we found a "gurt" hole in the bottom end:panic: , well i bit the bullet and bought it.

well i thought id start a progress thread seeing as tomorow it will be the first time in 4 months its been off jack stands (bricks :P)

when gav had it:afro:
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j103/frankie640/saxovts.jpg

when i got it home me and my mate started stripping it out:
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j103/frankie640/vts3.jpg
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j103/frankie640/vts2.jpg

i then started to look round for a new bottom, was lucky enuff to blag one lol, so we prepared the saxo for engine removal:
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j103/frankie640/vts1.jpg
(if you look hard enuff just to the top right of the fuel filter is the hole)
the fact that my mate works for a tool hire company mean........free tools :P

engine crane FTW, engine and box going in.

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j103/frankie640/100_0042.jpg
at 2am lack of sleep took its toll on fen :panic:
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j103/frankie640/100_0041.jpg

early morning:
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j103/frankie640/100_0045.jpg

we had a few problems along the way, like a snapped fuel line, snapped headbolts, and shed loads of rounded nuts and bolts.
we had it running which was mint, but for some reason the imobiliser decidied to cut in, very helpful indeed.

plans:
full sparco cage
buckets + harnesses.
willwood 4 pots
speedline chronos
cams, tb's, megasquirt ecu (from RCD hopefully, as fen is always going on about megasquirt), wossner pistons, hopefully building a beast of an engine ;) .
billies.
and many fibreglass panels;)

i would like to see it finished for trax minus, tb's bit pricey lol

more pics tomorow.
