Hardly... Don't mean to be stereotyping or anything, but how often does the average female check the oil, put water in the radiator, all the car to warm up and all the other little things... But I agree about not buying a boy racer type car too.

make sure the car is in full working condition preferablly with one years mot on it, if the car has no mot ask the dealer or sealer to put it through the mot before u buy it ! make sure the car has full service history and has been well looked after, and if you know anyone that is good with cars get some one to look over it to if there any problems such as egine mounts losse cv joints losse or just rust......and if the car ticks all those boxs then buy it.

just thought id make a comment on buying a car that was a lady owner.
im a girl myself, luckily i know how to look after my car and can tell when things go wrong.
unfortunatly a lot of women dont(meaning a lady owner is not always the best to buy from as they can run the car to the ground!!)
just thought id share my thoughts with you's x x

while im here i was wandering if someone could help.
iv'e been told i can change the head of my vtr to a vts head.
making it a 16v instead of an 8v.
is this true or would i have to change the entire engine?
please help x

You'd need to change the entire engine.

wrong advice!!!!!! never buy a lady owned unless you want to replace the clutch wen u buy it!! best to buy straight from a dealer

How is it best to buy straight from a dealer? The fact you pay at least £500 more for a few months warrenty you probably won't even use...
If Mrs Smith sold her car to the dealer, and you buy it from the dealer, why does that make it any better?

laura_g

because you usually get warranty with a dealer

you gett normally a one year warranty with dealer which you could use you just dont know, and its prob worth the extra £500 becuase wat ever goes wrong will prob cost more than £500
