Hi everyone. As some of you might know, I am selling my VTR. I was hoping to get a Civic EK9 but due to ridiculous insurance prices I have been forced now not to get one. So now I am looking out for a VTS. Thing is I just wanted to know what are some people on here paying for their VTS insurance? I will be 19 in a few months so will wait till then. The cheapest quote I have had is £1473 at 19 with 1 year NCB TPF+T with me as a main driver and my dad as an added driver. So any 19 year olds on here with a VTS, what are you paying for your'e insurance? Also is it wise to insure the VTS as TPF+T?

if you post in the insurance section.. you will get more replies aimed at insurance rather then useless ones...

when i was looking for a new saxo....i did a quote for a VTS out of curiosity (sp), and was quoted £1500 (there or there abouts) TPF&T

I wouldnt say its a good idea to get a VTS on TPF&T....

ive always thought that for a big, fairly powerful car....you should always be fully comp....if you know where im coming from?

I see where you're coming from, I've just always been tpf&t and never had a problem and my first car was a 1.6 8v, fairly powerful for a first car. Just have to be sensible :)

agree....it would have been fairly powerful for a 1st car....especially if you learnt, in say, a 1.2 corsa or something lol

I learnt in a Honda Jazz. Don't know what engine size was though, I did drive my mums fiat punto for a few weeks as well. that was like 1.2 or something, it was hilarious!

so you would realise straight away the power difference....

so...you now know the reasons why i would insure a fairly powerful car fully comp :P

Yeah but a jump from 106 to a VTS or GTi isn;t going to be that much and I have more experience now. Like I say, it works for me :)

The very first thing I drove when I passed was a 205GTI, now THAT was an interesting experience :)
