SInce yesterday i have bene tryin my had at photoshop, and the results aint too bad i odnt think. Jus a few probs,
When tryin to lower the car, i laso round the bottom of the car and the top of the whole picture, copy and paste it, then press ctrl down to move it down, but the only part that moves down is the paintwork of the car, is this because i created a new layer? (Basically i end up with two pictures of the cars body work)
Also, im tryin to fit some new wheels on it, how do i go about this, been on the digimods website, seems pretty hard.
One last thing, is there anyone i can send my attempt to so as they can post it cos i dont kno how?
Back to college now, site banned there so will be back at bout 4, for hopefully sum answers.
Cheers all smileys/smiley4.gif

you shouldnt need to press control, select the pointer and move the top layer down over the wheels then crop the top part left behind off

simply upload it from the link on my sig and and copy the url from any of the forum hotlinks... the press http://www.sax-p.com/forum/forum_images/post_button_image.gif paste the url in the little box which comes up... and it shud be in the messege bk with url in [ and ] at each end... then type your messege in... post...
for the lowering bit... if i wanted to lower this car..
http://img228.exs.cx/img228/9961/350z485et.th.jpg (http://img228.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img228&image=350z485et.jpg)
just polygon lasso around the bottom of the car... just click on the pic to make it a larger form... and look where the lines are... thats where you need to lasso
http://img221.exs.cx/img221/121/350z48lowe4redwithlinetut4vk.th.jpg (http://img221.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img221&image=350z48lowe4redwithlinetut4vk.jpg)
try to get it as neatly as possible... you can always practise getting it neat!
once you've lasso'd around like in the pic... press ctrl+c and ctrl+v to copy and paste what you've lasso'd...
then press ctrl and press down on the directional buttons to nudge the lasso'd bit which you copied to a new layer down... keep tapping till you get the car to the high you want it to be...
then simply got to layer... right down to nearly the bottom... and press flatten image... there shud be a lowered car which you've just done...
if you got any trouble with that... just post and i'll made a tutorial as simple as i can for you...
making wheels....
say i wanted to put these wheels from a mercedes...
http://img219.exs.cx/img219/3825/merconthechop2yw.th.jpg (http://img219.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img219&image=merconthechop2yw.jpg)
onto this mercedes...
http://img219.exs.cx/img219/7186/mercedesamgs55200303bchop8mq.th.jpg (http://img219.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img219&image=mercedesamgs55200303bchop8mq.jpg)
first i would lasso around the wheel...
like so...
http://img20.exs.cx/img20/3450/image0016iz.th.png (http://img20.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img20&image=image0016iz.png)
then ctrl+c to copy the wheel.... and go to the pic you what the wheels on... and ctrl+v to paste... you'll see that the wheel doesnt look right because it's at a totally wrong angle like...
http://img110.exs.cx/img110/3852/mercedesamgs55200303bchoptutpa.th.jpg (http://img110.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img110&image=mercedesamgs55200303bchoptutpa.jpg)
so to fix this... press ctrl+t... to free transform...
http://img16.exs.cx/img16/4580/image0012ww.th.png (http://img16.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img16&image=image0012ww.png)
and in that cae i would click on the left hand side square... and drag it over to the right to get the wheel facing the oposite way it was.. you may need to free transform the wheel till it's at the same angle the original wheel was... to make it look real...
http://img129.exs.cx/img129/2950/image0026um.th.jpg (http://img129.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img129&image=image0026um.jpg)
and just press on the move tool... and move the wheel till is over the original... like...
http://img166.exs.cx/img166/9504/image0015pv.th.png (http://img166.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img166&image=image0015pv.png)
as you can see parts of the original wheel is around the edges of the one you've pasted on... so just free transform the wheel till is over... shud be something like this...

little... it taken me an hour to get all the pics hosted and right it all out... will do more in future.... maybe a tutorial section would be a good place to ask how to do things and for peepz to show stuff they've found!
