Im still tempted to go oldschool and get a big body kit, slam it etc. Probably would of done if it wasn't for saxp.
I think online groups like this influence people, I get anoyed when someone tries something different and get slated for it.
Theres a VTR around my area with a 106 GTI engine in, its had the lights removed from the back and put in the rear windows. The boot is totally smooth, no lights, no number plate etc. I bet if he came onto sax-p he would get slated. Comments like "Shoulda just bought a VTS", "Pointless mods", "Not to my taste" etc.
Little rant over

some of the trends never gripped me, some did, i never liked lexus lights although they were the best thing going at one point.
i did get caught up in m3 mirrors, rage 5" exhausts, and a few neons on the inside!!!!
...but when they were cool.

When they're done properly like that i still think some of them can look really good, there was much more individuality back then.
There was a large amount of bodged monstrocities about though.

If peple keep complaining at kitted cars, the modified cars business will soon end :n: and too be honest i think its great that car enthuiasts can get together and meet.
^^ speeling issues but its early  ^^
I think some more nice kitted saxos would not go a miss...

TBh.. When i go to UFA, SP, Trax.. I'd rather look at the cars that have had bodykits put on them.. insane sound systems.. full sexy interior.. and not the cars that most of us have on here..
Don't get me wrong, i don't think i'd ever have a car with a bodykit.. but i'd much prefer to look at them at shows..
I doubt anyone will disagree.. if you do.. then exactally why do you go to shows?

funny how the scene changes.. when I was purchasing my first cars I wanted a fast engine and a wide arch body kit.. then I moved to just fast and stealthy and now I building a race car with a fast engine and a wide arch body kit
