Is it safe to fit harness on the standard vts seats, or better to stick with the normal seat belts?
If harness'. is it easy to fit them myself or need to visit a garage?

It is safe yes, but will look a bit odd without bucket seats with them! I would stick with standard seatbelts unless your going to get some bucket seats in with them. Also they are very easy too fit yourself.

i ran harnesses with standard seats in my golf after i sold my buckets, it's fine, they hold you in a lot tighter than normal seatbelts do. however they're not that practical for things like seeing out of junctions and reversing.

it is simple to fit harnasses mate. i assume you will be getting three point harnasses? they go into your existing seatbelt bolts. i assume it would work fine, it just wouldnt look right imo.
