My new VTS :)

Hello chaps, thought I'd show you my new beast, isnt a mk2 but im still happy, looks pretty awesome for a mk1! Decided to get rid of the VTR as it had been nothing but bad luck (getting reversed into by a 4x4 in BK drive thru last sunday was the final straw, got it sorted in a week, and here i am..) I loved my red vtr but this vts...after driving it around all day..is fucking awesome!! (sorry i swore..) Love the way it picks up after 4k revs, simply epic lol.

very nice car mate, i like the 97 version with that grille. Any plans for it, i suggest slam and mk2 vts wheels.

Yea im actually looking for a set of VTS wheels as we speak lol, ill see what it looks like once they are on (if i can find some of the bloody things) before I think about slamming it on its arse!

EDIT - just noticed 97 spec, non capped mirrors and interior as well. You sure it's not a ringer???

Got it HPI checked mate before I bought it, all came out ok, maybe it was just registered late of something... its got the later rocker cover on it as well, bit odd but ah well lol.

Yea its still got the annoying keypad in the dash, would rather have somewhere to put my phone tbh lol. My VTR was a P and had the same grill.

One other Q, this ones got an extra button on the dash nect to the hazzard lights button, it glows green and has a similar symbol on it to that of the mute button on a tv remote.. what does it do!!!?

turns alarm off, if alarm is on put key in ignition and turn and the hold press button to disable alarm. Standard alarms are poo anyway lol

That's to switch off the interior ultrasonics when you arm the alrm.

You are one seriously lucky bastard if you have a late registered Mk1!!!

Whar does the V5 say? First registered... etc. Also did you check the VIN number/chassis number/engine number???

ill let you know when it was 1st registerd when i get the V5 throught mate, but the chassis number came up the same as the hpi check etc..all added up when I did the the checks. Have to say I didnt notice the mismatching grill lol.

cheers 4 the info guys. Interesting about the styling/year of registration. Came up hpi clear so cant of been nething to major IF it was binned at some point. When is thatbounmouth meet mate?.
