head unit cuts out

hi there i have a alpine cda-9811r head unit hooked to a amp powering a sub. And alpine front speakers and 6x9's powered by the head unit and if i go to high with the volume the head unit switches off, and the speakers and sub aint even distorting yet. any help welcome thanks.

Have you wired it all up yourself? Possibly a bad ground. Or two of the wires that you have plugged into the headunit are the wrong way round. Ill admit to doing that myself, lol, which had the outcome you describe.

as said check the wires, if its all ok go to an audio repair shop to get it tested :y:
