umm, my vts wheels had flat seated wheel bolts, and i still have the bolts.
but mine were deffo flat, as i needed to buy tapered ones when i got my new alloys.

vtr bolts are flat, vts wheel bolts are tapered. Vtr bolts can be used (I used them on my vts wheels for ages) but the tapered bolts make the bolts screw in a few more threads.

i asked because, i had trouble with my 205gti wheels (needing flat heads) because not enough thread was biting on the hub thus stripping bolt after bolt.... but if vts wheels take tapered then kl i guess:y:

oh, well i have special bolts then ?!?!?!?
they have a tapered part and a flat part, tapered for the spare wheel, and flat for the vts wheels.
and my vts wheels deffo had flat seats and not tapered.

Having looked into this further, there seem to be 5 different types of bolts depending on whether the car is mk1 or mk2 and which wheels you have. They all have flat washers, but some bolts are tapered and some are flat. :)
