Alright so i have PS CS2 and i have created a boarder and a bit of text. I want to be able to save this and then appy this to a picture whenever i want. what file format do i save this as and how do i apply it to the picture.

just save as normal .psd (first select all layers making sure you have a transparent BG and click merge all layers - by rightlicking when all highlighted u want to use) save.

then when u have a picture open the picture in PS and open up the border image youve done and saved in .psd.

using the top arrow with the crosshair on it. click, hold on the border image and then drag over to the new document with the picture/photo. and it will appear. then if using PC press ctrl+T to then resize the border/text and rotate if need be to fit nicelyontop of your photo.
im guessing ur trying to do some sort of watermark/trademark.
you can apply extra nice effects if you use blending options on it by double click just to the space to the right on the layer after it says "layer 3" for in example.
