HCBC Cards

Righto, on Saturday tried to use me HSBC debit card at various places to buy some shizzle, and it got delcined 3 times. Thourght it wasnt right, not like i didnt have enough money in the account. Rang them up yesterday and they said that all HSBC debit cards were being declined for no apparent reasons, luckily I had my credit card on me to buy the stuff.

Just wondered if anyone else had this problem?

Is there a limit to how much you can whack on a debit card or can u spend aslong as you have the money in the account

i had this problem once....when i tried to purchase fuel....they didnt accept it, so i ran over to the bank and got the money....it worked a week later when i went to fill up again...

no limit as long as u have doller in there its fine. did ring em laura they had no reason just said it was happening to every hsbc custromer with a debit card/.

they dont accept dollars in this country though, did they say when the problem will be resolved?

Are HSBC Debit cards working today.....coz going down in abit to get PS3...so I dont wanna look a mug at counter and card being refused....doing the walk of shame to put ps3 back on shelf

Barclays was doing the same saturday.......

Our card machines wouldnt take cards on saturday or sunday must be a big problem

i had this problem with abbey national when i went into the bank they gave me some bullshit answer about they were merdging two computers together so some cards were not working

Of all the places, My alliance + leicester got declined in mcdonalds, that is nasty..

Apparently the LINK system was down what all the cards use
