right iv got a 1.1 spi mk1
and the problem is that whenever i start it up when its cold/engines cooled down it doesn't idle, it just cuts out and it sounds VERY lumpy when i keep my foot on the gas to keep it alive. it does it sometimes when stopping at traffic lights too
its usually ok when its warmed up though :/
anyone got any ideas what could be up with it?

Could be a blocked breather

could be your coolant temperature sensor reading wrong basicly it could be telling your car its warm when its not so its not getting enough fuel through when its cold

the sensor should be located just behind the thermostat and should have a blue plug

okay, iv cleaned the breather out cos there was a lot of creamy gunk in it.
hasnt seemed to solve it though. ill have a look at the sensors and that later.
also im getting a lot of pops from the exhaust when im revving it which doesnt sound too normal to me :/
