Pipe hanging off the induction kit?

I bought a VTS with an induction kit fitted, and have just noticed that it has a pipe that looks like it should be entering the side of the engine but isnt. Ive pushed it back into the hole, but what/how do i use to get it to stay there permanently?
Also, could this be a reason for my oil temp gauge having a mind of its own (soemtimes starts in the red and gets cooler the more i drive) as the coolant and oil and both ok?

ok mate oil is most likley just the temp sensor not sure where it is on the saxo! and use a jubilee clip (the metal with a screw head to tighten it up) and a zip tie temporarily til u get one (as im guessing u dont have any due to the question lol) hellfrauds do them and any diy store wicks b and q homebase
