right i know there the worst company out there i have now found that out but what i wanna know is where do i stand...

back in august 2006 i had an accident involving 2 other cars, now i had the insurance man come out take statements etc etc never heard anything for a while ring them up he had left the company and taken all info with him, another bloke comes out and says that bloke never left and he then took another stament, waited a while few more phone calls still no information regarding my claim

last august insurance was renewed and they gave me another years n.c.b

last friday i recieved a letter from the other persons insurance saying i had 14 days for my insurance to sort the claim out or they would take legal action against me, so rang up the regional claims manager straight away, never replied rang him again today still no answer, rang up quinn themselfs to day, spoke to 6 different people and still got no where

sorry for it being so long saves questions being asked so what i really wanna know is i know only have 9 days for this to be sorted, can i take any legal action against quinn for not sorting this ????

any help would be great

i would try the citizens advice bureau see where you stand with them. But i would think as you have paid for a service and your not recieving it you would have a good case. they can advise you about different laws, rules and regs and maybe able to get this sorted yourself without paying out for a solicitor.

Quinn sorted me out well. I had my cheque through in about 2weeks max

wanted a refund for a cancelled policy, been waiting 3 months, spend an average of 20 mins on the phone every ten days

its a joke, do a search on the net, they dont pay out, no proper complaints dept either..

oh yeah and not a sniff of the cash they owe me

thats the thing they sorted out my crash before xmas within a week! but this accident they dont seem to care its me who gets taken to court not them! with it being so long i dont have any of the info any more i have no chance in court

Sorry to hear of your problems. Being in the 'trade', I would ring up Quinn Direct, ask for the claims manager and say that if you don't receive a satisfactory conclusion, you will contact the financial ombudsman - http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
