removing black strip

you know the strip down the side of the bit in between the front door and the back window that is black. does that just peel of as it looks like it does or is there no paint under it etc?? anyone got pics of theres if they have done this??;)

hi mate, yes they just peel off. use a hairdryer to soften the adhesive or they will just break as they are quite brittle, it is painted behind but you might find it will be shade lighter than your bodywork. i had take mine off because they started to ripple, i might just spray mine matt black. hope this helps

I've taken mine off and had paint underneath so im guessing there all the same. can be a bit of a pain getting it off depending on age of the car/condition etc. Good luck. To dark and cold for pic's sorry x

mines a 2001 so im guessin it shud b alrite. il try it 2mo n jst get the hair dryer on it i think. thanks guys

forgot to mention, you will need your windows wound down and remove a bit of the rubber as the black strip go's around the back.
