engine noise???!

When i start up my saxo there is a sort of "squeaking" coming from my engine bay. I can't tell what it is, but all i know is that the squeaking is worse when the car is first started up.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a fan belt tbh mate but not 100% sure without hearing it. Hope this helps :y:

yea sounds like fanbelt ,see if its worn may just need tightening -only costs about a fiver for a new one, a right bastid to change tho lol

I think they are automatically tensioned in which case, it will be a new belt. :)

i changed mine but still squeaks a little only when its cold really, so it could be something else i dunno

could be dampness on it at this time of the year, put abit of chalk on it :)
