VXR update: 11/5/09..The end.

bit bored so im gunna start a progress thread on the modifications to the corsa! before i start progress will be very slow as im lazy!!

since i bought the car ive only done two modifications, de badge the back leaving only the VXR sign of course and fitted a courtney panel filter..witch makes the throttle response a hell of a lot better.! and also makes a cracking sucking sound!

only a small one really, no pics either. got some lowering springs of a lad on owners site. pick them up sunday..lower the car 30mm.. should be enough as its on 18ns.

update:

well lowering springs are on the way. didnt pick em up, couldnt be arsed. and my cousin is painting his car grey so ill be using some on my wheels. hopefully all getting done in about 2 weeks..well the springs will be on but the wheels may not be painted upto 3 weeks. but this is a chop of how it will look.

well as i said before about having the lowering springs on order from a lad on an owners site. i was skanked along with another lad for a dump valve. the stuff never turned up so going through a claim now on pay pal.

anyway i have got another set of springs on order from janspeed. 40mm kit this time and also got a courtney hose kit and dump valve due anytime, both things ordered from the genuine companys now...so hopefully the stuff will arrive!

Finally got my dump valve and hose kit today from coutenay..witch i ordered 3 weeks ago lol.

gunna try and fit tonight if i can be assed. think the red hoses will go well with the car.

i was gunna get a set of pro racer 1.2's in 17inch..after the lowering would sit nice on 17n's.

I know it's not your aim, but those rims in that pic look much more aggresive and racey in my eyes. The bigger rims look a little showey to me. You would get a big performance gain by dropping the rim size and changing to a much lighter type of rim as well.

yeah the weight difference is probably huge. i know the standard rims are heavy lol!

In theory, yes, but it wouldn't be a huge difference. You would notice a difference if you took the likes of 100kg out of it...

Not as keen on it with the black rims, personally i'd go white. Looks a little too dark side with black, nice car though, don't like normal Corsa's or even VXR's that are high, the look unstable from the back but this looks nice.

well heres the update, sunday afternoon i crashed into the back of an M reg fiesta. not really my fault but in the eyes of the law it was so nevermind.

basically an asian brother slammed on at a green light on a dual cariage way for no reason. police think it was a scam to get cash. i hit the lass behind the asians car.

car needs a new bonnet, bonnet hinges, grill, lower mesh, 1 headlight and the front panel.

got all the parts for 300 through my cousin who works at a body shop and painted by my other mate whos a painter and VW and audi near me.

wasnt great with the standard set up. with the new springs on it now. feels stiff as fcuk. a lot better and more agressive with the bends.
