Are you smarter than a 5th grader?


-There is a bus with 7 Girls
-Each girl carries 7 bags
-Inside each bag there is 7 cats
-Every cat has 7 kittens
-All cats have 4 legs each

Question: How many legs are in the bus?

how old is a 5th grader.. this is 2008 there is calculators cant see the point in most maths these days as its from the 1950s before calculators and spreadsheets ect ect

Driver (assuming they have 2 legs, which is a fair assumption) = 2

7 Girls (again assuming they have 2 legs) = 14

Each girl has 7 bags so (7x7) = 49 bags

7 Cats per bag so (49x7) = 343 cats

Each cat has 7 Kittens so including the mothers ((343x7)+7) = 2408 TOTAL CATS

TOTAL CATS LEGS = (2408x4) = 9632

TOTAL HUMAN LEGS (assuming no amputee's are on the bus :P) = 16

GRAND TOTAL LEGS = 9648!

Looks good too me.

EDIT - Assuming the bus driver isn't a girl in which case there'd be more bags :P

EDIT 2 - Too be fair it doesn't state the girls are on the bus therefore if you take off the drivers legs then it's 9630.
