I quite like it..
Is this possibly something to think about for FCS?
Have some leaflets printed out, or laminated cards, like the membership ones, with sax-p info etc on them, so we can put them on our cars windscreens (under wipers) when we are parked up at Brunters?

I advertise it quite alot actually.. If I see saxo owners I ask them if they have checked it out.
also get people to go out in the car park and check out the sax-p vinyls all over it lol

For a flyer it should really be less text heavy, if you got a flyer with so much text i would just bin it

I like the idea of having flyers as i work in a catering trailer, i see lots of peeps with modded Sax's (buying from me) I do give the site a mention but like Damo, having something just to back it up and to make it sound like its actually worth going onto the site and were seriouse about it

I will be going to seem my printer on Tuesday if I can finish the stuff Im working on in time.

I plan to enquire about the flyer prices at the same time.

However... I was wondering. Would we not be better with a business card style thing? These would be more convenient to carry (in your wallet) and could be kept simple, as theres not enough space to flood it with details?

What do you think - flyer or business card?

I would incorporate a space for your membership ID or something so if the memebr later joined up this could act in your favour in some way... like a referrers scheme.

I prefer the idea of business cards aswell, as we would be able to carry them about, put a pile in glovebox aswell.
I also find that whenever someone hands me a flyer I tend not to read it and either throw it, or fold it up and forget about it in my pocket.
But, whereas with a little card, peope can keep hold of this (in their wallet for example) and gain all the info needed from reading the limited text from the car.

I think that a great idea that will definitely provide some well earned advertisement for the site.

i erm.. work at a commercial printers.. could speak to my boss about a "special" deal smileys/smiley17.gif

business cards are 55x85mm (approx) would need to be on card (bit more expensive) to be effective..

or maybe a 99x210mm flyer (1/3A4 size) could be an idea..wouldnt need to be printed on card.. so maybe cheaper unit cost.. although bigger..

how many would we be looking at/how much to spend on it?

I'm thinking the back needs to be quite simple, not as busy as the front i would have thought, cos you've got to be able to see the writing thats on top of it, so anything to detailed and people wont see it, just a thought tho smileys/smiley4.gif

Uername for referral would be written in by the person handing the card out... this would be a feature brought into effect for v4 really, where members get something back if so many people join, etc...

I was planning to distribute a few cards with each premium member registration and send some to members who are keen to promote Saxperience.

well i've seen car companys do business cards for disccounts on services to make the cars come to the certain garage!

all they do is slip it into the bottle window seal on the drives side window with a corner of the card into the seal to keep it in and the rest out so it's visible...

im not saying its a BAD idea in having the business cards but then if you are out walking around and then you see a saxo driver, then of course you could hand them the business card as they would be in your wallet.
