My SPL dynamics pack off CAD.
The sub is rated at 600w rms and 1200w peak power.

My unfinished layout:

Still need to tidy up the cables, and cover the mdf + sub box in black faux leather. Hammerite attack the gold metalwork, and get some carbon fibre doorcards for the rear.

and probably put the power cable in the right place, just incase it shorts out your power supply and you get stuck in an asda carpark :P

I think Currans system in his furio was the best looking system ive seen in a saxo, but the pic links are dead so hopefully he will see this thread

This mine. I like it simple and I know that 'Mutant' arnt the best make but it was pretty cheap and easily does the job for a little more bass. I re-trimmed the box in black faux leather and the false floor in white leather to go with the blue/white theme I have on the car :y:

you couldnt really hear the rear components in the front but i had the front speakers wired up also so it did sound alright. was too much bass though as the subs were pointing right at your back.

sounded bloody good at the rear of the car.

Curran

i do too. but you couldnt even sit in the car with it turned up. i only ever had it on about 1/4 volume when i was in the car and that was loud. any louder and it hurt your ears.

my current sound system in my golf is much better.

shame, going by the previous ones in the sax, should be good.

what sub did you have? what you gonna replace it with?

Curran
14th February 2008, 22:35
thanks but it doesnt look that fancy. more quality and OEM look. kind of look as if it 'could' have come out of the factory that way (if VW made awesome sound systems lol)

it did have a sony sub but i'm replacing it with an alpine type r to match the rest of the gear. everything is alpine. my new amp was way too powerful for the sony. it blew when the gain was less then half.
