iv got the sony mex-bt2500 head unit, but i dont think i can have a sub and amp with it. can anybody advice/ help/ tell me wat to do? lol

check the back... you need a pre out, its 2 plugs one white one red
if you dont have them there are still ways but thats the best

By the looks of it you can't. I'll have another check on Sony style and see what it says on there. as ross said, there are ways around this (ie the Audison SX3 amp)

Right, just checked on Sony's website, and it does not mention anything anywhere about pre-outs. There for you'd be best in looking at the Audison amp that I mentioned above as that allows for high level inputs (Ie non-preouts).
That amps also allows to you to have a set of speakers and a single sub. So a nice set of components up front and a single sub in the boot all off one amp :y:

I'd already thought that, but unfortunately, as it can be at times, you have to work with what you've been given......

you can get a decent sub and amp deal for around the 100 pound mark :y:
