Guys,

Looking into getting some new front disks. Any suggestions as to what type of disks to go for / what to avoid etc?

Got 17's so disk size won't matter. Are all disks 283mm?

Any idea's appreciated.

It's an 02 Saxo VTS.

standard saxo disks are only 247mm. If you fancy bigger brakes then email Gaz at GSMotorsport (sales@GSMotorsport.com) and he will be able to give you a run down on all different options and pricessmileys/happy.gif

Cheers Scott,

I was told about Tarox Japan Sports disks that are 283mm cost £190 delivered.

You ever heard of these?

I'll email Gaz aswell, cheers again.

Tarox sport Japan disks are very good mate, if your VTS is standard or near standard you dont really need larger discs.

Black diamond drilled and grooved disks are very good and there about £100 (Standard vts size)

It's got a magnex system and a Simota enclosed induction kit. lowered 50mm with 17's. pretty bloody nippy!!

Cheers for that.

if you want improved performance the only real way to do it is larger discs for a start

Got an email back from Gaz at GSMotorsport.

He said these would be the best.

Has anyone had any experience with these? Also whats the best Disk style and pads to go with them?

Cheers

never heard of anyone having problems with hi spec discs warping, given that they are one of the most popular big disc conversions and big brake conversions in the saxo world then they are a pretty safe bet, im even looking to buy one of the four pot kits myself soon.

Ebc stuff is generally one to avoid, have a look on ssc about ebc stuff smileys/smiley11.gif

Have a look on www.scoobynet.co.uk for hi-spec stuff.

Its a lot cheaper then other big disk conversions for a reason it seems smileys/smiley5.gif

Would Scoobynet not be relative to Subaru's?

Scott, I pretty much take your word as gospel and I also have never heard of problems with these disks (not that I'm saying 'The One' isn't telling the truth).

Once the bank balance increase then I think I'll be going for the Hi Spec ones.

Cheers guys.

Yeah scoobynet is for scoobys i used to be on there.

I'm not saying dont get them you asked if anyone had heard of problems so im just saying yes i heard lots of ppl on scoobynet say the discs warped after heavy braking.

Just passing message on thats all mate smileys/smiley4.gif

Thats cool matey,

Your right I did ask and your more than entitled to give your opinion.

I think that Subaru's tend to be stopping from a much greater speed than I would be doing in the VTS!

I also used to own an Impreza and know what kinda pressure you can put your disks under!

Thanks again for your input, much appreciated.
