1998 saxo vts or a 2000 onwards vtr ?

all in all the VTS has at least 20% more horsepower than the VTR which is quite a bit for a car that weighs 900kg

Alot of people will tell you that up to 60mph the VTR and the VTS are quite close before the VTS will power ahead....but

0-60 times are (depending on the driver ultimately)

VTR (later models) 9.1 secs
VTS 7.5 secs

1.5 seconds is a big difference considering the timescale

Top speed on the VTR is 120mph according to official figures, and the VTS is 127mph

i cant agree more, when i started i thought a VTR was 16 value :(

I use to hate saxos! when i was like 16, 17.. i use to hate them soooo much! i don't know why! i just did! .. thats where i started when i set my eyes on a saxo!...

yeah i do, i did not like them so much because they were always owned by chaves and look to OTT and a bit of a waste of money, but i have been enlightened. :)

Totally agree. Before I got one I used to think they were a chav car, driven by boyracers who cant drive and usually a magnet for ripspeed products and 14 year old slags.

Then a saxo appeared at my drive...


Still hasnt changed my opinion though :)

i wasn't really too clued up on the 'rip speed' products and all the other brand names. I just saw them as scum cars. boys who are always looking for fights!

i used to think the saxos were chavtasic tbh, until a mate of mine got a posi blue mk 1 vtr. Everyday i was like i want that car, so then i brought a vts :y:

oh and to asnwer the question

the vtr is quicker lmao asif

ps: the only way a vtr can beat a vts is with a motorworld bolt-on tardis filter set to hyperdrive tbh

always thought 1.1's/flat arched ones where chavy but the vt kitted ones looked mint, was going to a buy a corsa for my first car, tho it had to be a 1.4 sport, then i saw my furio and fell in love ;)

been sax-ping it ever since.

The majority of flat arched Saxos that are modded always looks chavvy as hell.

there are a few exceptions.......GreenSaxo, Snewham etc.

VTR is an actual chav magnet nowdays. 17yr olds are always talking about how theyre gonna save up and buy a VTR and put it in their parents names for insurance purposes.

i had my heart set on a mk 2 clio
