am skint at the minute but was thinking could i use duck tape instead of sound deadening. would it work?

nope. use loft insulation if your really hard up... and raid the attic lol!

i just thought it would stop the tiny sound as the metal would be covered. this is for the boot floor etc

I have heard that some people have used flashing tape before, dunno how good it is?

i personally cant see it having any effect at all. but why not give it a go? will cost peanuts!!

wont do anything mate
just keep saving, sound deadening you can get for less than 30 quid to do the doors and boot anyway :y:
dont try and do everything at once, just keep adding when you get the money :y:

whats the deal with sound deadening anyway? does it eliminate rattles or what?

its more to reflect sound waves so keeps the sound you want in and road noise out :y:
but does stop rattles, stuff the boot with loftinsulation first
