means you would have to grind the caliper and would only fit under 15" rims.

however its worth the work, talking from been a passenger is someones car thats got them

got the car back from Manic motors with them fitted now (bought from GT3). Drilled and grooved discs too. I wouldnt say i was nearly through the windscreen but its a lots more pull to the brakes. They definetly pull you up quicker and feel a lot more poweful than the standard vt setup. Also got my bias valve free'd up as it was stuck solid. I think it needs some adjustment though as im sure i still managed to get the rears to lock up.

I bought the calipers, grooved/drilled discs and pads from GT3 on here for £110 delivered. Then Chris charged me £53 to fit them and free up the bias adjuster. ferkin bargain if you cant be assed climbing under the car in the dark with a halfords toolkit. I think im actually falling in love with manic motors.

when you say 266mm brake's, does that include calipers? if so which calipers? i'd like a little more stopping power....

David

there's a few that you can use, the most common ones are 206 gti and berlingo's

David

Is there no need for a bigger master cylinder with the 266mm upgrade then?

Mark51

^^ you can if your want, it will reduce pedal travel and increase sharpeness

to be honest, mine doesnt feel much different in terms of travel, its still near the bottom, maybe even slightly higher. The brakes just feel a lot more powerful.

Oh yeah sorry wot uprated master cylinder would you use a 406 one???

and would the saxo goodridge hoses be ok on 266mm calipers

Nothing wrong with standard saxo master cylinder. Back to standard brakes, feck me they are shite compared to 266s.

As said, wilwoods I have on my other saxo are a bit overkill really. 266s are more than enough especially for road use only!
