My lil saxo vtr

hello all

i started off driving in a old corsa 1.5 td which was that horrible red where it fades really badly, but all in all used to get me 120 miles on £10 which was a god send when your going to college and only working weekends. then sadly one day it passed away at 202 thousand miles which i thought want bad really for such a lil car and i did rag it sometimes. but it passed away at the wrong time as i needed to go away the next night to yorkshire which is a long way away frm me so i went looking for a nice lil run around.

i aint had my saxo long but it has a few problems. the reason i brought it with a few problems was because i was hurry to buy on the day i brought it. when i saw my vtr i fell in love straight away it was a unique colour aswell as being cheap.

when i got it home me and my dad along with his mate had a look around it and found a few problems which want to much to stop me from driving it.

-cv joint had gone on both sides on the driveshafts
-bushs on the back were crap
-door is outta place not by much but noticedable
-needed front fog light
-sunroof was leaking

so still with my weekend job im still fixing all these once these are outta the way i will be on my way to making it look better.

mods im lookin to do in near future:
-black alloys
-air filter
-backbox
-mesh front grille
-lower it (but cant do it by much because my roads are so bouncey it would scrape everytime)
-angel headlights
-black back lights
-colour code bumpers

Loooks better Lower it and will look nice apart from looks like bumpy roads up your way like you said...

I havent updated for ages and i thought i might as well do one being though i got my phone back that i take my pictures with.

Done abit of work to the car recently like the following:

T-cut the back badges
de wipered the back window
new speakers in the front (6x9's no longer in use)
and resprayed the front bumper my self because i cant afford to get someone else to do it heres some pics anyways

done alot recently smoked the fogs and fitted them back in.

and also one massive and stressfull things i done to it to date one wiper conversion.

i didnt use a kit i brought an ax wiper motor and tried to get it fit and it did in the end but took a while full story later on.

I did my brake calipars yellow but dont have any pics of that yet until i get my black alloys which should be in the next month.

Smoked fogs where one of the best things i done to my car which make the grill look more in place

i then recently did a wiper conversion with a ax wiper motor - this is not recommened has it is alot of swearing and messing around but it works in the end and at 70 my wiper wipes properly.

Very good updates, and i must say i think me and you are the only owners on this website that own mk1' saxo vtr in mauritus blue lol, they look mint though, and good move smoking the fogs they look good, and bumper doesnt look like a bad job mate, get it lowered though.

My grill is nearly finished. Trialed Fit it the other day and it looks spot on. Still needs some work doing to it to make it completly straight but looks straight enough atm. I left it on for now because i dont like the idea of my radiator being visible.

Bad news the car is off the road with a fucked clutch and gearbox both at the same time so its gone into my dads mate garage and will be fixed by the end of the week.

UPDATE 10/10/08:

I brought some vts alloys about a month and half ago and they been sitting there for a good month before the other week i decided to do somthing with them!

i took them to be sand blasted for a quid an inch so 60 notes later they where ready. So then they went off to be powdercoated gloss black! and today they are back!

got the vts alloys on yesturday and really pleased wth the outcome! i aint so pleased with the finish on them but i will wait till after christmas now.

Back end lowered!

went in to day to see if the torsion bar was stuck. Came back to the rear end lowered all i need now is the front which be the end of the week.

Looks to be lowered about 50-60mm. Will look beter when cleaned and in daylight but i will post the pic anyway
