British Transport Police is the national police force for the railways providing a policing service to rail operators, their staff and passengers throughout England, Wales and Scotland.
The Force is also responsible for policing the London Underground system, the Docklands Light Railway, the Midland Metro Tram System and Croydon Tramlink.
nothing about normal policing...

thats the one. Couldn't think of the name of the program.
I'd want to join the rapid response section of it mind. Still have to deal with 'jumpers' as they call it. But again, thats all part of the job.

Can get into traffic after a year or so.
Its just as Im quite young still I want to get my probation out of the way and get into traffic as soon as I can. And my local force is not recruiting at the mo, MET isnt recruiting for ages. And atleast if I get into the transport police I can then gain a decent knowledge into london and its surroundings, which will provide useful for when I become a traffic officer.

traffic can be just as bad, guess all policework involves seeing some pretty nasty stuffsmileys/happy.gif
drug squad is where it's at, my dad was in that for a few years but i think you can only do a certain amount of time or one operation or something because then the baddies(lolsmileys/happy.gif) will recognise yousmileys/happy.gif
