Wicked red VTS (track slag)- update 10/5/08

right then, following persuasion from other ppl, here is my progress thread
i have already done a lot to it but havent posted step by step but here goes

following theft of my CTR :n: and insurance payment i decided to get a small fast hatch, toyed with a gti and vtr but then stumbled across this vts and luved it ..........

pics when i bought it, these r from dealer in derby so excuse the mods

as you can see quite immaculate y reg with only 30,000 on clock so not bad goin

so once the car came the moddin began pretty much straight away, m8 was sellin his magnex so decided to buy it but before i evan came to fit..........this happened

centre pipe broke off from the backbox :s lol

neway got to fitting the magnex which surprisingly was harder than we thought, clamp seized

exhaust done .........pleased with the way it sounds perfect not too loud just a nice rasp..

havind done that, decided to give the wheels a quick diy paint job.........come out better than i thought

the 4x4 luks got to me n seein other lowered saxos i had to get mine done so got it slammed 40mm at front n not sure how much at bk maybe 55? bt i like the way it handles so sits perfect now

-4 pot willwoods (from the group buy)
-compbrake quickshift
-cobra seats
-team dynamics monza R in black
-goodyear eagle f1's
-catcams 708 (but i need to find sum1 to map it first)
and i need to do this before end of march :panic: got a track day lined up at donnington
so opinions on what i have done so far?? :y:

Also....i would get a standard fuel cap....the one you got doesnt suit the car imo

ill post sum pics of all the stuff in my garage when i get home,,,, got sum powerflex bushes as well so make it nice n crisp to drive:p
ive had the monzas refurbed in honda grey which luk absolutely amazing.........pics to follow when i get home :y:
oh btw im round the corner from the asda minworth if u know where that is so keep an eye out

The wheels - im thinking they need to be a bit darker grey?? just my opinion,

as it stands, car is in need of a clean!!!!!! desperately, will take sum pics on the weekend when its done.

plans for weekend- fit the 4 pots, bleed brakes and bmc with raceland manifold, and smoke lights again!! (if that is possible),
and then trip to joshs to have rear beam mounts fitted,
wat do you think so far then?

we'll strip the front end and get the rear's in on the Sunday if we have a good session and the weathers fine. Then dad will need to take the wishbones to work, press them out and put it back together on his own during the week.

It depends of the weather more than anything, i'd allow a week just incase :)

Woah £560? Unlucky man, looking at yours though, you've got the thicker writing on the caliper, mine is really thin lol So its been fading quite easily
