Alright everyone!
Its been a bad night :(
Was driving back from a mates, coming down this road where theres no lights, pretty greasy road aswel... anyway was only doing about 35mph (was a national speed limit road aswel) and a fox ran out in front of the car. My instinct was to obviously avoid it, so i swerve to miss it, then try pull back on to my side of the road, the front then looses grip and just slides sideways into the curb on the wrong side of the road. I then spin around in the road and get thrown into a ditch! :n:
Heres some pics of the damage:

Its pretty f**ked atm. Hopefully there wont be any damage to the chassis and all the parts can be replaced. Luckily my dads a mechanic so will save me some money. Still pissed off though.
No damage to the outside though, apart from the front arch is slighty bent out, but easily fixed.
Next time i see a fox im gona hit it! lol
Im gona go cry myself to sleep now! :bored:

Unlucky fella, at least you walked away from it tho, cars are fixable at the end of the day.
Hopefully the damage isnt too bad, but the lad who bought my old corsa, stacked it into a curb at 40, done the same and pushed the wheel back, bent the wheel a bit but no body damage.
Vaux had to replace, anti roll bar, suspension arm, new wheel, and a whole new steering rack + labour charges.
Cost 2k in total!
Hopefully it wont be as bad, but what looks to be slight damage could be a hell of a lot worse underneith!
good luck in getting it fixed.

Yeah exactly mate, at the end of the day the cars just a lump of metal, could have been a lot worse for me if a car was coming the other way. Gotta count myself lucky tbh.
Corr 2k? sounds nasty! Im gona go down the scrappy and try get some parts on the cheap lol and with my dad being a mechanic it will cut labour costs, so hopefully wont be as bad as your mate.... hopefully! :p
Cheers for the comments everyone....

It's stated that you're meant to hit the animal... but how excactly do you do that with the mrs. in the car. Came round a corner at only 25mph-30mph single track road bushes everywhere was late afternoon in the summer, on the way home from a bike ride and a rabbit darts out from one bush trying to get to the other. I didn't slam the brakes on as I knew a prat was bombing it behind me, my girlfriend did look angry though :p . I slowly rolled to a stop, got out the car and found the rabbit underneath the car before it jumped into the... check this out.. the bush it appeared from!!!
I hope everything works out okay it doesn't look major but keep us posted. It could of been a lot worse, just be glad you're ok :y:

Important thing is that you are okay. Cars and money come and go, but you can't be replaced!

ahh that sucks, everyones worst nightmare. Although its instant reaction ive swore never to avoid animals jumping out unless its a deer or around that scale.
Id rather fix a shagged front bumper than structural damage.
wonder what the percentage is for animals causing crashes!

Cheers for all the replies everyone! :y:
Got bit of an update on the situation, no damage to the chassis, all the parts can be replaced so its all good... kind off lol
Parts that are f**ked:
-Bottom suspension arm
-Link arm has snapped
-Drive shaft
-Brake hose snapped
-Steering rack arm
-And finally the wheel ... its kinda egg shape now!
Should be fixed tomorrow with luck, and has only set me back £80, not bad if you ask me!
As im currently saving up for some new wheels, I was gona put the space wheel on for the time being, but then realised its obviously gona be smaller. So i might be getting some cheap nearly new vtr wheels (better than the current wheels on it anyway :p ) of a mate to put on untill i get new ones, which is good!
Im just happy that theres no major damage and should be back on the road soon. :y:

Same ^^ I hit foxes/badgers/pigeons all the time I'm a mean roadkill warrior:afro: . At the end of the day far better to kill some stupid bunny than to write your car off or worse hit another car. I hit a fox at 65 once and it did fuck all to my bumper:P Saxos are good for one thing:panic:
