I find flesh tones best for calipers, although it does depend upon your clothes.

TU-Tuning
21st February 2008, 15:28
what are the drums?

you know some brakes have big shiny disks, well the back end on small engined cars is usually fitted with drums which dont have visible discs, theyre just metal blocks. And if you paint them a lairy colour they look wank lol

Scattle
21st February 2008, 15:32
Either Black or Red Laura.

liam46
21st February 2008, 15:36

jaybiss
21st February 2008, 16:23
id go for a dark grey i think

red looks rubbish cause you've not got big brakes

you can buy nylon stickers for your calipers that say renault or clio

i think grey caliper with black clio or renault sticker would look nicer

or maybe even black calipers with silver stickers

laura_g
21st February 2008, 16:31
im not sure on stickers though, just want to upgrade the whole brake disks and that and like the look of painted calippers

tommyVTR
21st February 2008, 16:37
red is always a nice colour but wayyyto popular depends if u wanna b unique or stick to a safe combination.. some people keep them black or silver to deliberatly detract attention from the calipers.

im gonna stick safe with mine and do them bright red, should just be able to see them through the gti pepperpots in black.

laura_g
21st February 2008, 16:43
would like it to be unique but my fav colour is either red or blue want it to be like these alloys

Karl
28th February 2008, 10:53
imo theres nothing worse than a small engined car with standard brakes that are painted bright in your face colours,

What do you want people to do!
WOW! look how small that clios brakes are?

Nick_T
28th February 2008, 10:54
lol why didnt i think of that whats hammerite?

high temp and corrosion resistant paint, can get it from halfords but its cheaper in B&Q Warehouse

I beg to differ,
small shite brakes are awful, you can stamp on them all you like but they dont work very well etc etc.

I agree. I have decided not to do mine yellow, and go for a grey instead.

laura_g
28th February 2008, 12:19
grey is boring though

Karl
28th February 2008, 12:43
but it isnt like
"IN YOUR FACE, I ROLL WITH SMALLER BRAKES THAN YOU!"
style.

its all about looking subtle imo,
you dont make stuff stand out unless it is that damn good.

Karl
28th February 2008, 12:48
