Hey all,

Just put a HU into my Saxo and when switching the car off the stereo turns off, i'm sure there will be a wire i need to connect but after a quick look (it's getting dark) i couldn't find one and i don't have the book that came with the car.

Could anyone tell me or point me in the right direction of finding which wire i need to hook up?

It's a Sony HU (I know you guys don't like them from what i've read but it was cheap off a mate!) if that helps i don't know.

Thanks in advance.

CAn't edit posts? Just to add the stereo keeps its settings so not sure if it is doable in a Saxo?

I want it to come on without having the ignition on or the keys in it, like most cars do nowadays, is this feasible?

well i know the standard saxo units do it but aftermarket ones dont

think its just a case of having another permanent live in place of the switched live tbh, but id just leave it how it is in case it does any damage

Yeah good plan, don't wanna mess up the electrics for the sake of having to turn the key :P

ha you could always take the h/u out and tilt it forward for some strange reason it powers on lol,
i no a few pioneers do althought there in a diff car they power on without key
