what do newcastle fans expect tbh? keegan has just come in and hes getting use to the team and there is a lot of players there who in fairness shouldnt be, newcastle wont go down and i dont think keegan can be judged until he has signed the players that he wants too but its not going to happen overnight

they need time a hell of a lot of time, plus he spent no money this season and it shows. he needed to spend big on some top class defenders, its always been the problem though

nah they really need to give the managers time to get there head around things, as long as keegan keeps them up this season i think he will suceed next season, he wont go as the fans love him and i think mike ashley can see that, theres a lot of passion with keegan and newcastle fans

another dissapointing season again.
yesterdays game was embarasing
hopefully keegan will pull it off
the thing is with football fans, is that they dont give managers enough time to settle in, already blaming him when things start to go badly.
but lets be honest, its not been their best season

we all know they saw him as a saver that was not going to work, he is passed it, look when he was at england with mclaren, nothing. :( they were hopeing he would win them the league!? lol. its not the manager but the squad!!
Mikey
24th February 2008, 16:57
they do need to spend big in the summer!
at least 30 million
Mitchell

I agree shearer is way forward :y:
Predator_R32
24th February 2008, 23:25
shearer has no expierience in managing, tbh he should go and manage other clubs or be keegans right hand man before he comes boss

Bit off topic but my brother has a football signed by kevin keegan, any interested in buying it ? =\
Comes with a manchester city holder thing, also another signature on it, god knows who's.

Lol mate.
You go any ideas what my brothers would be worth?
My dad told him man city are doing good at the minute so he should try selling it.
Dont know much about football myself, never got into it :p

i think give keegan next season (can get a few of his own players in in the summer etc) and if things dont improve get rid.
i think the fans expect too much from this so called 'big club'
mid table team, always have been in my opinion
but with the individual talent they have they should be doing alot better
owen
smith
martins
viduka
all top class strikers
duff
milner
geremi
all top class midfielders....or were at their previous clubs
defence.....hmmmm lol
furiomike
25th February 2008, 10:03
they need their defence sorting out badly, but also to actually stick with a manager for a while, because thats clearly not the problem.

cant believe the crap managers get, there was a pic of keegans eyes in the paper. one from his glory days with the toon the other now... claiming hes lost his " sparkle in his eye" WTF!!!!
hes the one to fix them, hes came in to a CRAP TEAM ridiculously low morale he aint been given money or time to sort the team out whats he sposed to do wave a magic wand ?

Eh...yeah, duh!
Newcastle havent won anything in 50 odd years so how can the fans consider themselves to be a big club?! Stick with Keegan for a good few years, give him time to make the club his own. Get rid of the defence, with the exception of Shay Given, unless they can get a top notch keeper for not a lot of cash.
Rumours in the paper that they want Aiden Mcgeady from Celtic for 12 million...
saxokid2006
25th February 2008, 10:32
they need a whole new team! simple as!

newcastle are a laughing stock, wouldnt give allardyce time, but they are now saying give keegan time, its a joke.
shearer? he has no experience at the top level of football, no champions league, a handful of uefa cup matches, never really did well in the premiership with newcastle either. i cant understand why people mention his name with the managers job. Juninho was awesome for us, but i wouldnt say he should be manager
