Just been on Ebay and came across these disks and pads. I need new pads for the front anyway, as my brake pedal is really spongey.

My furio is only standard at the moment as far as performance goes as ive been focusing on the looks for the moment. So i dont need the best brakes in the world.

Just wondering whether these are any good, and also whether they'd fit my furio, as it says theyre for vtr/vts?

Thanks :y:

You could change the brake fluid as wellto improve the feel!

probablies good mate, the pads are great, not sure on the discs though, tbh drilled and grooved discs are for looks as people say they do bot all for improving heat distribution and cooling

Ok thanks. Does anyone have any idea whether they'd fit a Furio?

I wouldnt bother with drilled... grooved yes maybe

but you'll wear your pads out faster than a girl on the blob with drilled.

wow !

"30 drilled holes and 10 grooves"

why do people think that more holes and groves increases braking performance.
its all about the piston size

personally i would source a 266mm setup

effectively you increase the brake force from drilled and grooved discs due to a number of factors like:

forcing the pad effectively through the holes (drilled)
putting leading edges on the disc (grooved)

essentially the drilled actually have more leading edges... but thats getting too far for this discussion

drilled are typically lighter, have better bite and have better heat dissipation - but prone to cracking, especially if they arent bedded in properly (most don't bed them in for some reason) or use the wrong type of brake pad and dont last as long as a grooved.

grooved for the fast road abuser user everytime.

wooooo thats enough good posts for today... im off to spam...

ps... not totally convinced billions of pistons is the way forward... a two piston calliper is better than a 4 piston calliper that isnt designed properly and so deforms under loading
