i turned 17... passed my theory and driving test on may 8th 2007 roughly in the morning and one week previously before my test i bought a ford fiesta encore 1998 reg with 84k miles on the clock for £950 along with alloys from ebay TOORA alloys which were 15 or 16 inch with tires and a pair of rear lexus lights and angel front lights
i was so proud of my first car and insured it 3rd party due to the value of it and ''tiny'' engine according to my father.

my first car - http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/DSC00004.jpghttp://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/DSC00005.jpg

as most 17 year old males do with their first car, they crash it and i crashed mine 18 days after my test barely 3 weeks:n:

kerbed it (needlessly to say i was driving like a nob and going too fast for the conditions and the result is below)

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/crash1.jpg

then after about a month of hard saving and abit of help from my father i went out and bought a nicer car which leads me to sax-p due to the make of it, it was a shitroen VTR...
it had 62k on the clock and was 01reg in fairly good condition and i snapped it up for £1,650 with some service history and 12 months MOT and TAX....(this car is from a dealer in london...which later would haunt me...)

the car when i bought it... http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/4287711609a4775293382l.jpg

and i insured it fully comp learning from my losses with the fiesta which was pretty severe about £1500 loss in total.

my first mod was spraying the interior which looked daft... http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/DSC00111.jpg

then the engine nut bolts broke one week later... causing the engine to come loose itself and go down through the car sideways luckily i was at lights when this occurred... then the following week the driveshaft snapped... little did i realise how unreliable my VTR was to be in the following months...

during the summer i drove around with my best mate in his fiesta ST which i envied alot... http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/4287711609a4775389809l.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/ST.jpg

i owned this car from june to roughly august with no mods being done to it since i bought it... then came a car show... i thought i need mods for a car show so i set about making a few adjustments which were ridicilous and a waste of money looking back now... :homme:

modification 1) tint rear windows limo black the darker the better!
modification 2) smoked rear lights again the darker the better!
modification 3) paint the grille of my saxo silver to blend in with the bonnet... silver paint from halfords and paintbrush and 20 mins later job done not even properly and no lacquer... ive learnt my lesson... now im re-doing it with lacquer!
modification 4) get rid of the gay fox wheels and replace them with VTR alloys stupidest move i ever made because i should have gotten VTS wheels... never mind!
modification 5) sticker up my car with various car clubs and fake reg etc etc for the show

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/SaxoVTRnumber-plateinsidethecar.jpghttp://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/RecentPictureofSaxoVTR.jpghttp://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/MemberofCrusiersStickersonSaxoVTR.jpg

i probably made it the weirdest looking VTR around .... then i saw the sunshine after logging onto google and searching saxo VTR turbo and simo's turbod VTS turned up along with sax-p and i thought oh lets join...

i predicted my best mate would crash his ST and land it upside down mainly due to the way he drove his ST... it came true...http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/vtrapid/UPSIDEDWN.jpg

then autumn time to xmas time... no mods...
THEN FINALLY

immeaditly i put standard rear lights back on (noticed alot less cop attention once i did so) removed gay stickers and rear three window tints and plates out of the window and de-wipered the car making it a much more civilised car to drive considering i could see out the back window quite clearly now!

i then noticed alot of ''lowered'' saxos... and i realised mine needed lowering... so i lowered it 40mm on the front with SPAX springs and 60mm on the rear and put a full supersprint race only centre section which is decatted:y: with a backbox that reminds me of a scooby's exhaust... and put lower strut brace on... i do not have any pictures at the moment but will post it up once the car is out of the garage again.

Ben_L
26th February 2008, 00:08

Pat_Vts
26th February 2008, 00:11

my plans for this car that breaks down every 2 weeks is to take it to a different garage to get the starter motor replaced and get it back running healthily.

then for the summer my plans are
- personalised reg
- alloys... im thinking of BSA enforcers...http://www.potn.co.uk/p1000564.htm as they suit the 2tone i think
- sound system sorted out, a basic sound system will do me not after anything high tech
- rear smoked jewels and smoked indicators
- replace the cracked fog which was smashed by a stone off a lorry on the dualc

this will work by summer if the car doesnt break down any further!

Pat_Vts
26th February 2008, 23:55
update, the starter motor was broken and the flywheel is broken the garage are going to look at what is causing the engine not to run smoothly hopefully it goes well and isnt too major for once and i get it back tomorrow hopefully

DJ_Splitz
27th February 2008, 12:39
some severe bad luck with your car... im beginning to get weary of mine as my steering clunks sometimes but i was told it could be because the car is lowered and i have to keep jump starting mine so my starter motor must be dud too GRRRR Just my luck :|

Pat_Vts
27th February 2008, 13:09
look forwards to the bills you will get, my advice prepare for it, clunking could be up to around 300 quid... ;) starter motor isnt too bad but my advice is replace it before anymore damage gets done...

Pat_Vts
17th March 2008, 01:29
i am bored online at half one on monday morning...:( so i have made some plans because i am so bored.. next week i think i will get a personalised reg to cheer myself up;)

here are the plans i have...

1) Front wing panel and driveable (£400)
2) Personalised Reg – P17RCK (£250)
3) VTS engine (£400)
4) Enclosed induction, manifold (£240)
5) Cams and remap after engine is fitted + DYNO graph (£500)
6) Upper strut brace, Smoked fogs, jewels on the rear and indicators and 106 gti interior (eBay £400)

Pat_Vts
17th March 2008, 01:32
what do you all think of the plans and i have decided not to do my rear badges black as i think they blend in with the boot, t-cutting it would make it black and stand out abit too much for my taste... its either leave it standard or de-badge it...

Pat_Vts
13th June 2008, 22:52
VTR will be up for sale soon

£1200 or offers near £1200

- due to central locking not working properly, can be manually locked

- no service history although iv had it for just over one year now...

- dent in right front wing which needs a new right front wing but is barely noticeable, some members on here didnt notice it when they saw my saxo

-after a quick sale due to impending purchase of a vts therefore it is priced at £1200, mileage is at 81,800ish and the car is in use so it will be in low 82,000s when it is sold
