Anyone into BMX or Mountain Biking?? [Archive] - Saxperience

Hi All,

I was just thinking about back in the day earlier of when i used to go out on my BMX and my mountain bike all the time with my mates and go to tracks and jump sets things like that hmmm those where the days. I got my old BMX out last night only to find i had two flat tyres lol.

Anyone else still into BMX or used to be??

I used to be into Downhill. Did a few junior races etc - was all good fun. Got a bit bored of it though after a while - I guess the adrenaline rush wore off a little. Sold the bike and all the gear and became a lazy sod and thats the way I am now :P.

I wasnt really into riding up mountains really. Just used to load the bikes into a pickup and then come down at like 40mph LOL!

I used to live for BMX/MTB tbh, about a year ago.

Used to ride a 24Bikes Le Toy III(had 2 of those), Custom DMR Rhythm, Superstar Parkinson 20", Schwinn Pro Stock II Custom 20" and Cruiser. And a few more..

Been meaning to get back into it when the sun arrives!

Kool mate ive also been meaning to get back into it! like you say the summer is coming so i want to get my bike ready its got a couple of things that need changing/replacing on there. Ive got a schwinn BMX and a saracen jump bike. You got any BMX parts?

I've still got all frames mentioned above, and enough top end parts for 3 bikes (20" Dirt, 24" Race, 24" MTB). I've been meaning to have a sort out tbh!

Drivings so much easier though.... ha

i did cross country at weekends and trials in week i did love it not been on my bike in quite along time....might actually fix my monty now im thinking about it lol .

I like my cross country but not ridden much since baby180 came along. Don't have much time anymore

Still got the bike and still use it but not for full on balls out action - unless this dalby forrest thing comes off

used to do local competitions etc (bmxing) when i was younger but at 15 i broke both my legs after a slippery ramp and bail went round :D well actually it was my knees... anyways..

didnt ride (obviously) for a while.. and by a while i mean 4 years.. i now bmx to work and do the odd trick but flash backs and leaving such big time gap makes me wary sometimes.. dont do ramps at all no more

Just recently quit bmx racing, was British champion and was a member of the GB olympic team.

Then found that instead of training full time and racing all around the world was boring, and that id much rather work to pay for my sax addiction. haha

Just recently got back into mountain biking, not doing trials or anything just off road/road riding, really enjoying it :p
