Job interview

I applied for a sales assistant job last week in motorworld as i cant take it anymore in the call centre

So have a phone call today off the area manager asking me a few Q's and would i be able to come for an interview

turns out that the job isnt a sales assistant job,its assistant manager

The area manager said would i like to apply for this position as this is all he has in my area

I said yes

Anyway got the interview,so i can you give me some tips etc

you need to show you are keen, ambitious, motivated. research a bit on the job role and the company, also may need to refer to times in the past where you had a position of responsibility.

Oooo nice. Be yourself, stay calm, speak clearly, speak politely, try to say positive things, smile, portray leadership?, show that your clearly interested etc.

i did one for motor world, i learnt all bout the cambelt and that but basically learn more about care care and detailing more then anythink because that was what i was questioned on :)

you'll be reet just don't come across as someone who just wants a discount on neons.. state that working in the call centre has given you excellent communication skills and the ability to handle awkward customers

i give lads interviews man and the main thing to maintain is eye contact some one with shifty eyes look like they have something to hide


dont ramble be confident relax ur not in trouble

if you dont know the answer to one of there question DO NOT make up a bullshit answer say i do not know but could be tell me


just remember eye contact no shifty eyes if theres two in the room concentrate on both equally:y: not on the floor,plant or desk

make sure your wearing clean clothes happened me before for my dream job suit wasnt dry cleaned and i looked the prat

but what we do have is this "whatever" which i use on my bmw and it gives a great shine

I made a schoolboy error other day....work was busy as fuck....phone kept ringing, answered it and some bloke wanted to leave his number for boss to call back, me being a cunt just went yeh yeh yeh hhhmmmm ok really....

And then he replied can you read my number back to me?

remember bud an interview is a 2 way process, be confident but not over the top and get some background knowledge of the company and look into your job role and point out your strengths for the position. good luck, when is it?

depends what job it is, when i applied for an insurance related job TURNED OUT to be a bloody sales one, i would have been stupid to NOT ask about pay considering he blagged it then on a last interview i was accepted i had to ask again about pay 50times to get enuff info to go home put the puzzle together work out im been scammed into a crappy sales job.

Confidence young Gavin is what you need

First impression count, so a firm hand shake for a start

Body language is another key factor, so sit up straight etc

Have some questions already wrote down ready to give the interviewer, when he/she ask do you have any questions
