electric supercharger?

hey,
seen these electric superchargers goign around for a while now, and just wondered if they actually work.
i guess in theory they should, but ive seen cheap dicky ones kicking around, seems like a more advanced induction kit.

ive got a mk 2 vtr and was thinking of getting an induction kit, but if this is one step better, might as well treat myself
