Get a pair of pliers on the end where the socket/spanner is and get a mate to hold it in place whilst you undo bolt. I had to do it other day

its just you mate, use some wd40 and spray it on and leave it or a bit then get a bi of muscle behind it, remember left = loosey and righty = tighty ;)

yeh it must be the thread then because i have already tried that with pliers and mole grips but the nut just kept turning but it was'nt going down the thread, have you got any idea on what else i can do? thanks.

I take it you`ve wire brushed the bolts & springs before putting WD40 on.The other way if there is room to put a nut splitter on it this will split the head of the nut then with a punch/drift knock out the bolt.
