Pinking?

I might be buying a mates car, but he says its pinking :S

What does this mean and how do you fix it

Pinking is really a term for older cars mate ones with points and condensors when the points used to go out of adjustment.

Newer cars dont have this system anymore not for a good while now.

Id ask ya mate what its actually doing ! Or if your not sure get someone to look at it for you. I susspect he means the tappets are noisey but just check if they are it will sound like a sewing machine a bit rattly when its ticking over. Bit like any mrk 3 fezza and early Ka's do
