hey people, i have a 1.4 t reg westcoast, and basically my braking became really crap so i thought it would be a good time to change the front pads. so i take my old set of front brake pads to my local stockist, where i said can u give me sum brake pads to fit my car ( T reg 1.4 westie saxo) and i hand him my old set!!! he opens his book which list all the parts and stuff and he goes that your old set of pads belong to a 1.6 vtr/s, and he the asked me if your brake disc are solid or vented. i said vented because the is a gap in the middle. so he goes you need vtr/s pads!! so im like is that meant to be right? does the westcoast come with vts brakes as standard or did the previous owner uprate them to a vtr/s conversion!!! my cars rear brakes are still drum. also do the vtr/s brakes pads come with a brake sensor thing, when i fitted mine i never knew where it go so i cut it off the old set never had any at all. i also did a check on the modifications section on the this site and even there it said the 1587cc saxo vtr/s only comes with vented disc.
help!!! lol smileys/smiley2.gif

Westies came with vented discs, 1.4sx and VSX came with solid discs.
I 'think' Im right in saying that the front disc setup is the same as that of a VTR.
