I was there filling up the old girl, and it stopped at 35litres thinking its fulll :s
Anyways i keep going, ever few seconds it clicks to say its full, :s Considering i was in the deep red yesterday i thought this cant be right
In the end i got 41litres in....
Anyone know why saxo's click so early? my mates does it too

Air lock - fuel going in faster than air coming out!

Air lock - fuel going in faster than air coming out!

i only ever top up full now in the mondy, created a spread sheet so i can work out cost / mpg constantly. i fill up about 40+miles into the petrol light coming on when its on empty and fill it FULL and still only manage to put in 49litres out of the 58.5 it holds, also i did a motorway run and knew THEORETICALLY what i could get, so i risked it i was on empty for 70miles, and went just below the empty line i filled up knowing i must have 2litres odd left, filled up and still ended up having 8 litres left. altho im guessing as its diesel it does it to deter you from running out as that spossidly knackers the engine
i normally end up with 50 odd litres for like 55£ shocking

I was amazed how far I got with it in the red when I was skint before payday. Managed to carry on slightly past the bottom of the line.

There are SOME saxo's with smaller tanks (we had this discussion couple of years ago) some were fitted with a 40 litre system.....

Had same problem when I had the VTR - most I managed was 43 litres.
307 takes £65 to fill up.
