Yes, that is correct mate. When i done mine, one came off pretty easy but the other one was very stubborn indeed, had to use loads of penetrating oil and elbow grease. Finally cam loose after about 45mins, was hard work.
Also before taking the track rod ends off count how many threads are showing on the actual rod, that will give you a rough idea how far to screw the new track rod ends on. I got mine tracked afterwards anyway, but it gives you a rough idea.

you need a balljoint splitter or separator to makre the job easy, you can get them like a wedge shape that you hit with a hammer to pull the balljoint out

thats to get the joint off the strut, i want to know how out the track rod end, 9 times out of 10 you wont need a ball joint tool on the sturt as they just come apart when loosening the nut :homme:
This wasnt the case last week i blow torched mine and hit with a hammer came straight out.......... thats after i bashed the fuck out of it with a hammer for ages though :afro:
The best ball joint tool for future refference for track rod ends is the windy vice type.
The hammer fork type did fuck all but rip the seals on mine :homme:

will mark with a marker pen, its getting its tracking done saturday morning along side wheel alignment, they wont fit the new track rod ends unless they bought the parts (even though the same place fitted my mates, and also his 266mm calipers and discs and pads he had bought :homme:)
Hate cunts like that lmao
Al give them a bit of heat anyway cant do that much harm :boxing:
Al draw up a guide for anyone else needs it doing in the future.
