Like I said mate it's all about getting on the ladder, once it's all done out and nice inside it's going to sell for allot more than you paid for it and spent re-doing it. So come a couple of years you and your lass will be able to get something else if you wanted too, if not it's going to be a cosey home for you to settle down in :)

Nice one pal. Me and my girlfriend bought a house together 2 years ago fo 68K but just had it valued at 90K we bought at a good time and spent a bit of money new bathroom and kitchen etc. Just been told our electrics are dodgy. So be warned houses can be a blag do everything properly and by the book the last owners of our house were real cowboys (not the type that ride horses and wear hats) lol.

Anyway well done pal and good luck with the house.

I can't believe the price differences from down here to up north!

You can't buy anything for £78k down here. A 2 bed flat is £215k+!! :fcuk:

£78K... blady hell.

Me and the missus are looking for a 3 bedroom house at the mo and we'll be spending around the £200K mark within the next 12 months on one!

We bought out 2 Bedroom spacious house just over 2 years ago for £135K, it's now worth £165K.

Congratulations Mate!!!!! The feeling you get when the keys get put in your hand the morning of moving in is just brilliant!!

Chris :)

Its mad how much cheaper it is up north! Nice one mate, sometimes its good to get into up and coming 'regeneration' areas cus give it a few years it will hopefully help the price of yours.

I made £19,500 on my house in less than 2 years nearly 3 years ago when i sold it after splitting with the missus. Kind of wish id have kept it on now as im going to struggle to get back on the ladder on my own. But it is expensive business having your own gaff! You will notice the difference on your expendible outgoings lol

congratz mate. me and my mate were talking and looking today and cheap houses that need work. when i say cheap i mean around 160k for a 3 bed in not good condition.

as we both do the same job wich is working nights we have nothing to do in the day and hes been in the building trade before so we can do alot of it ourselves

bit off a update,

got a letter thrrough on saturday with all the final bills.
£4k to pay deposite
£1.2k solicitors fee's
£1k extra to pay as nationwide are holdin back, because off a roof repaire that needs sorting, will cost me and miss's dad £150 to sort out,

so we paid all the costs saturday morning, phoned up today to make sure they recived the money alright. they said yes and everything is dsorted, just waiting for the bank to release the money to the sellers, so hopefully we should be picking the keys up thursday or latest friday,

cant wait to get in and use my new fridge, bought one off the big fuck off american fridges. and to use my new 42"lcd tv
