I'm thinkin' about selling my sax (know a good few people interested) and getting myself a Calibra Turbo. I've been told these cars arent very reliable, so I don't know what to do. Thought I'd ask all you fine people.

What are your thoughts on this car?

Should i take the chance and go for it? I've wanted to own one of these cars for like 2 years now heh.

dont do it man! they may be fast, but thats all it has! my mate bought a great condition J-reg, but after about 6months of owning it - he ditched it cos it jus fell to bits and handled like a brick!not to mention it just looks like a modified chavalier!

being a vauxhall, and havin a shit chassis - this didnt really come as a huge surprise tho! y not turbo your saxo - quick, corners like its on rails, looks phuckin awesome - and theres forums like this for anything that cud possibly go wrong! score!

I would rather turbo ma Sax but its only a 1400i, so not much point. It would mean buying a VTS, then paying to turbo that. Which would cost alot of money smileys/sad.gif

i suppose so, but just think how much money u mite lose tryin to keep a calibra goin - they actualy eat petrol, im sure my mate said it took about £60 to fill the tank! sore! and its the kinda car ul feel the need to put ur foot down all the time so...

hav a good think mate, dont rush into sumthin!

remember - saxos rule! yeehaw! smileys/beard.gif smileys/smiley29.gif

the transfer box for the 4wd turbo is notorious for breaking and they are heavy on fuel. i had a 16v before i got banned and tbh i didnt have any bother with it. you can pick one of these for about £2500 these days.
if you are gonna buy a turbo tho, check the transfer box first coz it costs a fortune to fix. smileys/smiley4.gif
