Just installed my components, and there's no bass coming out of them at all...
Any help guys?

EDIT: They're Fusion Components - EN-CM525

If theyve got inline crossovers mate it will probably be to do with them, you wired them up correctly 100%?

Yeah i'm pretty sure they're up correctly... I've tried the green wire [supplied with the speakers] going to both the positive and negative, but everything stays the same

Check the filter settings on the headunit. It might on hpf or lpf, which is high pressure filter and low pressure filter. This will stop any bass going to the speakers at all and will transfer it all to the sub.

I take it you have tried turning the bass up on the head unit?

Aye, I've tried that mate... I give up.
Gonna go take them back to Halfords and just get some 13cm speakers. Ta anyway.

I'm almost certain you havent wired them up correctly and so they'll be cancelling each other out.

take the main input wires from one and switch it over (the capacitors should be bi-polar on these i think). check to see if there is any difference.

if not replace the original way round and then change the output wires to the mid around - again see if there is any difference.

I dunno what it was mate... Took them to Halfords and had one of their more experienced guys come try and wire it up for me. Exactly the same happened when he did it, yet when he wired it all up instore, it worked fine... So we dunno what was the problem. Anyway, he gave me these (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_23 6783_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varien t__categoryId_82384_crumb_31265-31371-31396_parentcategoryrn_82384) for the same price as the Fusions... [so I saved £6 on them].

He also said these were far better too...

are the speakers run from an amp or a head unit, you may have the wrong frequency running through them.
